CREIS Faculty Honored at 2025-26 Academic Year Opening Ceremony

On October 14, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) held its opening ceremony for the 2025-26 academic year in the Assembly Hall. The event was attended by the Rector of UAB, Dr. Javier Lafuente, along with members of the Dean's Office, faculty, students, and administrative staff.

During the ceremony, recognition was given to faculty members who achieved the highest scores in the teaching evaluation surveys for the 2024-25 academic year. Among those honored were Hector Sala and Andreu Turró, both members of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Studies and Research (CREIS).

The inaugural lecture was delivered by Elena Flores, former Deputy Director-General for Investment and International Affairs at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission, under the title "The Evolution of the Global Economy and Governance Over the Past Three Decades."
