CREIS participates in the UAB 2025 Innovation Fair
The Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (CREIS) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) participated in the Innovation Fair held on October 21 at the Exe Campus Hotel. The event, organized by UAB Research Park as part of the third edition of Innovation Week, brought together over four hundred representatives from companies, research groups, and university spin-offs in a dynamic format of meetings and activities.
Throughout the event, CREIS researchers actively participated in matchmaking sessions with various social organizations, where they had the opportunity to explore synergies and showcase the center's services and knowledge transfer activities, including initiatives such as the EINES Awards. These encounters enabled strategic networking in the field of social entrepreneurship and innovation, facilitating potential future collaborations.
The fair opened with remarks by UAB Rector Javier Lafuente, who expressed the university's commitment to establishing itself as a "driving force for change" that creates bidirectional connections between the innovation sector and society. The event also featured a keynote address by Carme Artigas, an expert in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and technological innovation and former Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, who discussed the future vision of technologies and their impact.
