CREIS Members Receive Awards at ACEDE 2025 and IAOMAD 2025 Conferences
Researchers from the Center for Studies and Research in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CREIS) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) have been recognized at two academic conferences held during May and June 2025.
At the Congress of the Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management (ACEDE) 2025, the article "What drives sustainability action? A study on institutional dimensions and their impact on sustainable entrepreneurship" received the award for best research paper in the Congress's Entrepreneurship Section. The work was conducted by CREIS members Carolin Maaßen, Tatiana Lopez, and David Urbano. Additionally, PhD candidate Carolin Maaßen was notably selected as a finalist in the ACEDE-Young Researcher Award category, recognizing her trajectory as a researcher in the early stages of her academic career.
At the Iberoamerican Academy of Management Congress, the article "Management practices and the allocation of individuals over entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship across countries" received the "Best Paper Award." The work was conducted by CREIS members Jairo Orozco, Andreu Turró, and David Urbano together with Coen Rigtering (Utrecht University).
These recognitions consolidate CREIS's position as a reference center in the study of social entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation, fundamental areas for addressing current economic and social challenges.
